Met up with some friends and had a great time first at an izakaya in Kichijoji then a party somewhere in Kokubunji!

For an izakaya themed on the legendary actor Mifune Toshiro, this is not a bad spot to enjoy a relaxing evening.

A long time favourite, the izakaya En, in Kichijoji, is always a great destination for a night of relaxed dining.

Excellent Kyushu izakaya on Inokashira line one stop from Shibuya. More shochu than you can poke a stick at, and very slow service. Worth a visit though.

Terrible kushiyaki-ya in Kagurazaka. Night redeemed thanks to Seigetsu.

Average old izakaya, packed with salarymen and serving poor food. Oh well.

Izakaya with private huts, in same building as Genkaya and Kikka, but a short walk from Tower Records and Parco.

Great izakaya in Shimo-Kitazawa.
