First flight in a week lands at Bangkok's airport

Looks like Bangkok International Airport will be up and running very soon. There are tens of thousands of tourists waiting to get out, low on cash, food. I guess they'll think twice next time before thinking to vacate in Thailand. Shame! such a great country for a break and one of my favorite.

Thai relief flight lands at Narita

The first commercial flight to leave Thailand since antigovernment protesters forced the closure of Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok last week landed at Narita airport near Tokyo on Saturday with about 260 passengers.

Bangkok Airport Remains Closed, State of Emergency Declared

Bangkok's international Suwarnabhumi Airport remains closed for the third day stranding 1000's of passengers and causing a major travel disruption for 1000's of others. The autumn and winter period is when many foreigners normally visit Thailand. Protesters took over the Bangkok airport on Tuesday evening.

Thailand's capital's old Don Muang airport is also closed.

Thousands Stuck At Bangkok Airport

At least 3,000 passengers are stranded at Bangkok's international airport after anti-government protesters took control of the building.

The operator, Airports of Thailand, said they had shut it down after anti-government protesters surged into the main terminal building.
