The above will link the title of your story to the URL of the image, so it is a good idea to include a link to the story in the text of your post. Go here to find out how to do this.

How does the voting work?
Whenever someone submits a news story, it is automatically given one vote (because it is assumed that the person submitting the story is voting for it) and placed into the Upcoming queue. There it will stay until it gets 6 votes, which will cause it to be promoted to the main Top Stories page.
You still can vote for a story after it has been promoted to the main Top Stories page. The more votes a story has, the higher up it will appear on the Newest, Top 24h, Top 7 Days, Top 30 Days, and Top 365 Days pages. (You can vote for stories on these pages, too.)
Remember, that you need to be logged in to vote, and that only one vote per person, per story is allowed.
Why should I vote?
Voting is the fundamental activity on a social bookmarking site like JAPUNDIT.
By voting, you help to determine which stories make it to the main Top Stories page, and how stories will be ranked on the Newest, Top 24h, Top 7 Days, Top 30 Days, and Top 365 Days pages.
How many votes does a story need to be promoted to the Top Stories page?
Right now, 6.
However, we reserve the right to raise or lower this number as the number of JAPUNDIT active members changes.
We also reserve the right to promote a story manually as we see fit.
Can I post articles from my own site or blog?
By all means. As long as what you post is related to Japan or other countries of East Asia and is not spam, the source is really not important.
