I was born in 1971 in Tokyo, Japan and currently live and work in The Blue Mountains. Prior to finding art, I received a Bachelor of Economics and worked in Tokyo's Exchange Market for three years. Shortly thereafter, I became the assistant for pottery master, Toshio Kinjo - the oldest son of Jiro Kinjo (considered the National Living Treasure of Japan). I am currently a PhD candidate at Sydney College of the Arts having completed my M.A. at the Australian National University School of Art in 2005. I have held several solo and group exhibitions across Australia including the Adelaide Biennial of Australian Art, Sydney's Art Space, West Space in Melbourne, Sydney Government House, Gallery 4A and the CSIRO Discovery exhibition in Canberra.
