a warrioress? Is that even a word? Or for that matter was that even a profession? Sure women of samurai households were taught to use weapons but with the exception of a few like Tomoe Gozen they were were few and far between.
I had the same questions in my mind as I wrote up this story.
Am I the only one in the world whose previous lives were as a garbageman, a nearsighted and not-very-bright monk in a third-rate temple, a tubercular galley slave and the red-headed stepchild of a sadistic pig farmer? Not to mention the rebirths as a toad, a centipede and a tapeworm in between?
Hey, just once can't I be a knight? or at least a squire? Maybe an archer who gets a smile from the warden's second-oldest daughter after losing in the quarter-finals of the village shoot-out? Even if she is missing a few teeth and bears a remarkable resemblance to Francis the Talking Mule?
