I think the figures which actually matter and people can easily understand are:-
min hourly rate: ¥750 (about) compared with say the UK ¥1,000 (about)
poverty line is about ¥1.5 million p.a. There are more than 2 million living below this level, mostly single mothers/divorced mothers.
Living in Tokyo requires a min income of ¥200,000 p.m. Too many are earning ¥150,000 or less which is increasing the homelessness.
The rent level should be by law no more than 25-30% of income.
We all know that 95% of the world's wealth is owned by 5% of the pop. Marxist stuff!
