Lawrence Lindsey, a former economic policy adviser to U.S. President George W. Bush, has told Japanese lawmakers in Tokyo the U.S. dollar could slip below 90 yen.
Even if Japanese authorities aggressively intervene in foreign exchange markets, the dollar's slip below 90 yen will be inevitable, he was quoted as telling the lawmakers including Taku Yamasaki, a former vice president of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party.

The Aussie dollar took a nose dive, from ¥106 down to ¥55 at one point.
Now THAT's a nosedive!
Plus the rates that the banks give are always tipped in their favor. So the actual rate that yet get is going to be even lower than than, then add, currency conversion fee and overseas withdraw fee and the AUD is looking pretty sad.
I guess it'll be a good day to own yen and buy dollars.
